Both regulators compare August to October 2018 with the same months of 2017. Neither reports a significance statistic. The Italian figures cover the firms most active in Italy, and the resolution does not say how many firms that is, so the two columns are not directly comparable.
United Kingdom retail losses fell 77.3 million pounds in the three months after the caps began, and volumes fell 28 per cent. The regulator's own trade level data shows profit and loss as a share of exposure nearly unchanged, which is the whole result.
