Five national financial ombudsman schemes, and the complaint counts they published for 2025
Complaints received or submitted in each scheme's own 2025 reporting year, each read in that scheme's own annual report. The reporting years are not identical and the schemes cover different product perimeters, so the bars are five separate measurements rather than a ranking.
European law gives financial complainants a free dispute scheme with a 90 day deadline, but no body publishes a union wide count. Five schemes published their own 2025 figures, from 214,872 complaints in the United Kingdom to 7,004 in Ireland.
