Europe's large value payment system settled 431,067 payments a day in 2025, a quarter more than in 2018, on a smaller base of direct participants

Daily volume rose 24 per cent between 2018 and 2025 while direct participants fell from 1,050 to 951. Value per day peaked in 2022 at 2,220 billion euro and has not returned there since.
