From the exchange's own contract specification pages and its April 2026 rulebook specification sheet. Price limits expand in one direction only. A trade at the upper or lower limit in the central contract month suspends trading in all contract months for at least ten minutes. The yen value of a TOPIX tick is not stated on the page; 0.5 index points times 10,000 yen is 5,000 yen.

Japanese index futures settle to a special quotation built from the opening prices of every index constituent on the day after the last trading day. No English language exchange document states what happens when a constituent does not open.
