Markets authority guidelines on funds' names using environmental, social, governance or sustainability related terms, cover date 21 August 2024. The 80 per cent threshold appears in identical wording in all three paragraphs. The guidelines themselves do not use the shorthand names for the two exclusion lists; the accompanying final report does.
The guidelines set three different exclusion lists depending on which term a fund's name uses, give no calendar date for their application, and state in terms that fund managers are not required to report whether they comply with them at all.
