Read off the face of Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 and FCA Policy Statement PS19/14. The three European percentages are often reported as one investment limit. They are three different instruments with three different legal effects.

Three separate ten per cent and five per cent thresholds sit in the European crowdfunding regulation and none of them is a prohibition. The United Kingdom, by contrast, applies a hard cap of ten per cent of investible assets to one investor class.
