Europe's deposit guarantee schemes hold 79 billion euro against 8.6 trillion euro of covered deposits, and all 33 are now at target
Number of schemes reported at or above the 0.8 per cent target, as published for each data year. The denominators move: 43 schemes for end 2018, 37 for end 2019, 34 for end 2020, 36 for end 2021 and end 2022, and 33 union schemes for end 2024. End 2023 is missing from the series; no release reporting that count could be found.
The ten year build up finished on 3 July 2024. Every union scheme reached or passed the 0.8 per cent floor by end 2024, after years in which roughly half of them were short of it. The authority publishes growth rates, not levels.
