Europe removed the lower limit on consumer credit regulation and brought deferred payment into scope, with a fifty day exemption

Directive 2008/48/EC, read end to end including its first annex, and Directive (EU) 2023/2225, which could not be read past Article 11 in any of three formats. Everything attributed to the 2023 directive here comes from its first eleven articles or from its recitals.
The old directive excluded credit below 200 euro and above 75,000. The new one covers everything up to 100,000, and exempts interest free deferred payment only where the supplier itself grants it and payment completes within fifty days.
