| Information received after four in the afternoon | transmitted by ten the following business morning | Art 9 |

| Time stamping | required on all transmissions under the article | Art 9(8) |
| Window in which a shareholder may request confirmation of counting | a deadline that "shall not be longer than three months from the date of the vote" | Directive Art 3c(2) |
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/1212 of 3 September 2018, Official Journal L 223/1, which states "It shall apply from 3 September 2020", and Directive (EU) 2017/828.
The implementing regulation sets the whole chain in business days and clock hours, down to a four in the afternoon cut off. Nothing in it requires the data standard it is usually said to require, and no measurement exists of how often confirmation fails.
