Return on equity by country, second quarter of 2026, from the central bank's supervisory statistics, the only authority printing numeric country values in retrievable text. Five countries are suppressed for confidentiality and two are unavailable, and the whole non-euro area is absent, so this is not a European ranking. The spread across the printed values is 9.23 percentage points.

The banking authority reports 11.3 per cent, the central bank 10.73 per cent on its own sample, and the authority's own risk assessment report 9.9 per cent on a funding plan basis. The series low was 0.5 per cent in June 2020.
