More instant payments were settled in Swedish kronor than in euro on the central bank's own platform in 2025
Instant payments settled in the central bank's instant payment service during 2025, in millions of payments by currency of settlement. The three currency volumes sum exactly to the published total of 2,472,445,752, which we checked. Values settled: 792.8 billion euro, 600.6 billion kronor and 366.5 billion Danish kroner.
The euro system's instant payment service settled 2.47 billion payments in 2025, up 82.5 per cent. Of those, 1,052,924,004 were in Swedish kronor against 998,294,509 in euro, so the krona carried more payments than the currency the platform was built for.
